Jesus taught:
“That which ye have seen me do even that shall ye do.”
—3 Nephi 27:21
Love. Love is the greatest, most amazing thing the Savior has done for me, for us. The scriptures are full of examples of this from feeding the multitudes to healing the sick and afflicted. But the greatest sign of His love was the Atonement. Such perfect love is incomprehensible. That’s what we have seen the Savior do, and that’s what I want more than anything: love like the Savior.
Sometimes when I’m holding my nephew with his soft baby cheeks and cheesy grin, I think I have a wisp of a hint of an idea of that kind of love. When I’m in my dad’s car, watching the little solar-powered flower dancing on the dashboard in time to the swing of the crystal angel on the rearview mirror—both so indicative of his personality—I’m filled with such sweet affection that I think I’m on the brink of a greater understanding.
I’ve always said that love is easy. The Savior certainly seems to do it effortlessly. It might be a little harder for us, but it’s not impossible. We were made for love.
Love like the Savior. Choose Joy, and Light the World.
